Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) invites applications from eligible male and female candidates for combatised post of Assistant Sub-Inspector (Stenographer Grade III) and Head Constable (Ministerial) to fill up 1140 vacancies. Read on to know further details.
CRPF ASI & HC vacancies: A total of 1140 vacancies available and the break up details of vacancies are as follows.
For ASI (Steno) - 245 vacancies. (General 113, OBC 63, SC 43, ST 26)
For HC (Ministerial) - 895 vacancies (General 318, OBC 263, SC 111, ST 203)
CRPF ASI & HC salary: The pay scale offered for CRPF ASI (Steno) is 5200-20200 with Grade Pay of 2800 and for HC (Ministerial) the salary will be 5200-20200 with Grade Pay of 2400 along with DA, HRA, Medical, LTA and other admissible allowances as per norms.
CRPF ASI & HC age limit: The candidate should be between 18 to 25 years as on 19.12.2012. However upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.
CRPF ASI (Steno) and HC (Min) educational qualification: The candidates must have passed intermediate (10+2) or equivalent from recognized board or university.
Note: Candidates should meet the physical standard as prescribed in the official notification.
Selection process consists of two phases. First phase includes screening of applications for eligibility, physical measurement and followed by written examination. Second phase consists of typing speed test, shorthand speed test for ASI, document verification followed by interview. Shortlisted candidates will have to undergo medical examination before final appointment.
Candidates who have satisfied the prescribed educational and physical standars will be shortlisted for written examination. The written examination for CRPF ASI and HC is of objective type multiple choice questions which consists of four parts as mentioned below.
Syllabus for CRPF ACI (Steno) & HC (Ministerial)
Part I - Hindi / English Language - 50 questions - Total marks 50.
Part II - General Intelligence - 50 questions - Total marks 50
Part III - Numerical Aptitude - 50 questions - Total marks 50
Part IV - Clerical Aptitude - 50 questions - Total marks 50
The written examination cut off mark for CRPF ACI (Steno) and HC (Ministerial) is 40% i.e. 80 marks for General category and 35% i.e. 70 marks for SC/ST/OBC. The time given to complete the exam is two hours.
Skill Test for CRPF ACI (Steno) and HC (Ministerial) vacancies
For ASI (Steno) - There will be a dictation of 10 minutes at 80wpm. Translation time given to complete in English is 50 minutes and for Hindi 65 minutes.
For HC (Min) - Typing on computer at minimum of 35 wpm in English (30 wpm for SC/ST) or 30 wpm in Hindi.
Fees: Candidates need to pay 30 by the way of crossed IPO drawn in favour of DIGP, GC-CRPF payable at concerned Head Post Office at that location. SC/ST candidates are exempted from fee payment.
How to apply: Candidates need to fill the application form for CRPF ASI (Steno) and HC (Minestrial) for which the prescribed format of application is available at the below mentioned website. Candidates need to send the filled in application form addressed to the concerned DIGP, Group Centre and should be sent to centre in which they wish to appear for the exam.
