Indian Army has issued notification which invites applications from unmarried Male candidates for 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme for which the 29th Course commences from July 2013. Before seeing the eligibility and other details, let's see what is Indian Army 10+2 TES is all about. 

Indian Army 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme is a great opportunity for youngsters who dreams to have a career in Indian Army. Candidates can enjoy double benefit as this scheme works as an entrance cum recruitment exam which awards them with an Engineering Degree as well as they become a permanent commissioned officer in Indian Army. Indian Army 10+2 TES 2013 eligibility, pay scale and vacancy details

No.of vacancies for Indian Army 10+2 TES 2013 : A total of 85 vacancies is available but it might be increased or decreased as per requirement.

Salary for Indian Army 10+2 TES 2013: After three years training, the candidates will be offered a stipend of 21000 per month. After completion of 4th year training they will be placed in the rank of Lieutenant and they will get the salary of a Lieutenant. So the approximate CTC will be around 65000 for a Lieutenant.

Indian Army 10+2 TES 2013 age limit: The minimum age should be 16_1/2 years and maximum 19_1/2 years. (i.e They should not be born before 1st Jan 1994 and not after 1st Jan 1997).

Indian Army 10+2 TES 2013 educational qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent with not less than aggregate of 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to apply.

Selection process for Indian Army 10+2 TES 2013 and Training procedure

Candidates will be shortlisted or SSB interview based on application, and the interview will be held at Bhopal, Bangalore or Allahabad. The duration of the interview will be for five days. The first stage of interview will be psychological test which include intelligence test. Only the qualified candidates in the first stage will be retained for further process. And the last stage is medical fitness and the candidates who are declared medically fit will be appointed for training.

The total period of training is for 5 years. Initially there will be Basic Military Training for a period of one year at Officer Training Academy, Gaya. Technical training will be for 4 years which consists of two phases. Phase I is Pre-commission training on which 3 years training will be at CME Pune, MCTE Mhow and MCEME Secunderabad. Phase II training is Post-Commission training for a period of 1 year at CME Pune, MCTE Mhow and MCEME Secunderabad. On completion of this 4 year training, candidates will be absorbed as Lieutenant in Indian army. The entire cost of training, books and study materials, food and accommodation are all borne by the Indian Army.
